Very nice!  I can see why you would get better results with it.  It's heavier, more rigid and keeps the blade closer to the center of the cross-slide/compound.

BTW, I'm the web site owner and I'm looking into fix for the scroll box your photos are being displayed in.  It's necessary because your photos are too wide for the screen, but it should be much larger than it is.

My new tool holder for the C3 Mini Lathe

I milled down some 3 mm for the high speed steel parting blade at about 5o

The track, I started with a 0.75 slitting saw and finished off with a hacksaw.

Extended at 14-15 mm it is in center and very stable and I am very satisfied.

Now I am able to do some parting without any shudder
