Vectric has released an upgraded version of Cut2D with many enhancements. I haven't had a chance to try the new version out yet but I really like the old one. I bought a copy 2 or 3 months ago because I wanted an inexpensive and super easy to use CAM program for drilling, engraving and cutting out shapes in flat material. Which is mostly what I do.
I'd been using D2NC which is very good except that its user interface can get very confusing if you have lots of operations or if you make a mistake and need to go back and change something. I will probably continue to use D2NC's wizards though. I think they're easier to use than Mach3's and they have some Mach3 doesn't.
I wanted to pass this along because if someone hadn't said something in one of my email groups I wouldn't have known. Vectric didn't email me an announcement and I wouldn't have gone looking for a newer version because the old one hadn't been upgraded in years.
