Hi Rob.

I saw this guys site before I bought my lathe.

I think that the standards the seller demand from the manufacturer determines what you get. I have seen a lot of 7X lathes from Seig and the fit and finish varies greatly on who it was purchased from.  The lathes from Grizzly and Mico Mark look great. the same lathe form the “El Cheapo” tool store look like the were assembled from reject parts.  The difference is so noticeable you would think that they were made by a different company.

This guy’s had his lathe for 4 years and thinks it’s pretty good for the money.  He has a lot more to say about it on his web site.
