Plans, projects and how-to's for home machinists
This tape dispenser was made by the Advanced CNC class at Laney College in Oakland CA. It’s made from a pound of 6061 aluminum and every part was made using CNC. Click on the picture or this link to see more pictures.

Kind of overkill for a tape dispenser, but I like it.
Any updates to your CNC project? I’m also working on the early stages of a Solsylva 25×25 build.
Sorry for taking several months to reply. I’ve spent only a few hours since your comment working on the router or doing anything else in my workshop.
Nearly every spare moment I have is being used to get a maker space going. I’ve got a great group of people helping me but we have an enormous amount of work to do.
I’m pushing it along as quickly as I can. My goal is to open in a temporary space (1000-2000 sf) within the next two months and to open in a much larger 5000 – 20,000 sf space early next year.
I should have a lot more time to “play” once the space is open. Much of what we have to do only has to be done or figured out once.
I would love to machine this in my CNC class at college. Can you please send me the drawings to this.
